Text Direction Tester

Compare the same stored text under automatic, left-to-right, and right-to-left display rules. The previews use explicit Unicode direction and isolation settings so mixed Arabic, Hebrew, Persian, Urdu, Latin text, numbers, and punctuation can be tested accurately.

Automatic directionBrowser chooses from the first strong character.
Left to rightForced LTR with isolated bidirectional content.
Right to leftForced RTL with isolated bidirectional content.

What the Tester Changes

The tool changes only the presentation direction. It does not reverse the string or alter the stored character order. Automatic mode follows the Unicode bidirectional algorithm, while the forced previews apply explicit left-to-right or right-to-left direction with isolated content.
